20 years’ experience teaching French and Spanish to Advanced level.
Qualifications
I hold an honours degree class IIi in French, an MA (with distinction) in Translation Studies and a PGCE in Modern Languages.
Memberships
I am an associate member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting as well as several of its networks.
I am an active membership of my regional group, the North West Translators’ Network, and am a member of the Events Team and editor of its newsletter to members.
Other language-related work
I have also contributed to published Modern Languages revision guides and have provided tuition in French and Spanish.
Where I'm based
I live in the charming city of Lancaster, in a beautiful corner of northwest England, close to the Lake Distrcit, the Forest of Bowland, the Yorkshire Dales and the coast.
Interests
Competing in the Lancaster City Quiz League, for which I am treasurer, yoga, watching football and relaxing with a good book.
I love nothing more than a leisurely browse around a second-hand bookshop in the hope of unearthing a few gems.
And, of course, I love a good game of Scrabble!
